Before Advance Directives – There Are Caring Conversations
3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26
What are Caring Conversations®?
Before you complete your Advance Directives, it’s essential to first have a caring conversation with your loved one(s).
Join us to learn more about having “the conversation,” the benefits of, and how to make your values and healthcare wishes known, and the topics you might want to discuss.
Ryan Pferdehirt, Vice President of Ethics Services at the Center for Practical Bioethics, will share stories from his work in hospitals to illustrate how important advance care planning is. He’ll also share tips on how to approach some of these difficult topics in a meaningful way.
A notary will also be available, if you’ve already completed your forms.
Please RSVP to the John Knox Village concierge desk at 816-347-2405 by Friday, Sept. 22, so they can be sure to bring enough of their FREE workbooks.
This event is FREE and open to the public, and you are encouraged to bring a trusted loved one with you so you can hear the presentation together.
