“The sense of safety, the sense of security, the sense of the people here who love me, care for me — it was a turning point in my life in terms of feeling like I was really in a good place.”

Reshaping what it means to live and age remarkably.

Since our founding in 1970, John Knox Village’s singular focus has been enhancing each individual’s potential for the best possible retirement lifestyle in a community built on friendship and support. Our reputation as one of the most comprehensive not-for-profit communities has led countless older adults to live fuller, happier and healthier lives in retirement. Today, the Village provides a wide array of home health services across the Greater Kansas City metro area and dozens of counties in Missouri and Kansas.

Community Involvement

Community involvement activities offer rewarding experiences for Village residents and associates. In the 2023 Community Involvement Report, we share the story of our commitment and effort to make an even greater difference in the communities we serve.

Annual Report

“Plan your work and work your plan” is a simple yet meaningful philosophy that has inspired the John Knox Village community since we announced our mission-driven strategic plan and ultimate goal to “redefine Village living” in early 2014. Since then, we have completed multiple projects defined in the rolling plan to transform the campus, advance a relationship-based culture and strengthen financial performance. Fiscal year 2023 (April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023) was a very important time for us because I believe we are truly seeing the fruits of our labor thanks to the successful completion of projects included in the strategic plan. You can read more about how our community came together to fulfil our mission of “Enriching lives, building community” in the 2023_Annual_Report.
