2023 John Knox Village Gala
In the charming Village of John Knox, people from across the land are invited to gather for an enchanting evening of merriment with a grand purpose of raising funds to expand its outpatient therapy to serve more seniors, including those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Proceeds from this year’s gala will be used to enlarge the Village Outpatient Therapy treatment space and purchase new equipment, as well as enhance programming in eastern Jackson County for patients with Parkinson’s disease.
The expansion will enable the clinic to more easily accommodate the growing number of patients who are seeking therapy after injury, illness, disorder or surgery. In addition to providing more room for traditional therapy offerings, clinic staff will be able to enhance the already vibrant LSVT BIG © and LSVT LOUD © therapy program for those suffering from Parkinson’s disease. All therapists are certified to provide the evidence-based program, which utilizes communication and movement therapies to help improve the quality of life for those with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders.
Village Outpatient Therapy’s patient count has more than doubled since 2020. The clinic, which serves John Knox Village residents and members of surrounding communities, specializes in treating injuries, disorders and disease processes common to older adults.
