Hustle over to The Pavilion to cure your dance fever and join us for a far-out fundraiser to purchase an ambulance and other lifesaving equipment for the John Knox Village Emergency Medical Services. The Village’s EMS department assists individuals in need of medical attention both in and around the city of Lee’s Summit.
This year’s event promises to be the best Gala yet as The Pavilion is transformed into a 1970-era discotech nightclub. With live music by “Boogie Wonderland,” delicious food and drinks, games (Who’s up for a life-size version of the iconic game, Operation?), a live and silent auction, and other surprises, this year’s gala promises to be even bigger and better as we boogie down to raise dough for John Knox Village. Attendees are encouraged to wear their grooviest disco threads, but it that doesn’t work out, cocktail attire is recommended.
Funds raised will be used to purchase an ambulance and other equipment for the Village’s Emergency Medical Services. An arm of the public safety department, EMS serves both Village residents and members of the surrounding community. In 2017, John Knox Village ambulances made a total of 2,837 runs — including both on-campus emergencies and throughout the metropolitan area by providing medically-supported transports to patients who needed transportation between locations, for example from a hospital to a rehabilitative center.
TIckets are $100 each or $1,000 for a table of 8 sponsorship. Tickets can be purchased by calling 816-347-2384 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or via the secure Eventbright website.
